I was born in Singapore. The doctor said that it was a very difficult to deliver me therefore my mother almost had a miscarriage. I used to cry a lot and refuse to go to school and ballet lessons. -
911, the terroist attack in New York
There was a teroist attack in New York, it killed more than 3,000 innocent people. Osama Bin Ladin was responsible for this event. The plane crashed into Pentagon. The two buildings that were crashed by the planes collasped within 2 hours. I feel very sad for the people who died because they got stuck and could not escape and they left their beloved ones without saying their last words. -
SARS
The SARS started in guodong of China. The first case happened to a farmer in a Fushon Country and the disease spreaded to 29 countires and 3 regions. SARS is a highly contagious disease, because of that schools have to close down for a period of time. There were 8422 cases and 916 deaths. If people were more hygienic, the disease won't spread so fast and not so many people would have died. -
A heat wave in Paris
There was a heat wave in France. The impact in Paris was very big, that it caused 15000 people to die. I honestly feel that this is incredible because I did not know that a heat wave could kill so many people. -
A bombing in Phillipines
There was a bombing in Phillipines that was arranged by Abu Sayyaf and it was the worst terriost attack in that country because it killed around 116 people. This event occured on a Superferry, I feel very sorry for the people who died because they did not expect this event to happen and they were not able to escape. -
Discovering Eris in the Solar System
Micheal E. Brown, Chad Trujillo and David L. Rabinowitz discovered Eris- the largest dwarf planet in the Solar System. I think that it is great that as time passes, we discover more planet in space and therefore we can learn more things about the Solar System. -
A terriost blew himself up
A terriost blows himself up in Tel Aviv, only killing himself but also injuring 20 people, one of the them tha was hurt really badly. I find that if the terriost wants to suicide, he should not use a bomb because it will affect people around him. -
A train derails Grayrigg, Crumbia, England
The incident killed 1 person and 22 people were injured. I think that the people working in the train station should check the system more carefully. Once in a while, they should do a check-up on the rails to see if it is damaged or experiencing wear and tear. -
Barack Obama was the president of USA
In 2008, Barack Obama was officially the president for USA.The Major political choosed him because he is a very caring, strong, hardworking and aslo an educated man. He was raised by his grandfather, who served in the Patton's army. I feel that he is really good making long speeches because the speeches do inspire people to be a better person. He is a good example of a role model and we should learn from him. -
An attack on the Dutch Family
The attack on the Dutch family caused 7 deaths and 17 injured. A man drove at a very high spped and into a parade which included Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem Alexander and other family members of the DUtch family. The car missed the royal family but on the other hand crashed into a monument at the side of the road. I think that the Dutch family was very lucky that they were not the ones that were involved in the accident otherwise it will be a huge impact on the country. -
The Winter Olympics
The Winter Olympics was held in Vancouver. It is held once every four years in different countries. I love watching the Olympics because people from each country will represent their country to play in the games and if they win, they will bring victory to their country. -
Steve Jobs died
Steve Jobs died on 5th of October because of cancer. He had cancer for the last few years because he was too stressed out with new inventions. It was a very sad day for the entire world. Steve Jobs is also really good at giving speeches like Barack Obama. I feel really sad because a successful person was gone. He changed the world and made life a lot easier for us. -
I became a secondary one student
I was very excited yet nervous on the first day of school. I got to meet a lot of kind and caring classmates in class. The teachers in secondary is more strict than the teachers in primary school. I am trying to manage my time wisely in order to complete all my homework.
