    The Exact Date is unknown. The Missouri compromise added missouri to the union as a slave state whitch the Notherners did not like. It also divided the Lousiana purchase into free and slave territory.

    The whole problem to adding California to the union was that it would upset the balence of power. If it were to join the north as a slave free state then thee power would be unbalanced.

    The fugative Salve act was an act that allowed a slave owner to go after there slave even if they made it to the north. This upset many Northerners because they would just take African Americans out of shops even if they were free to begin with

    Uncle Tom's Cabin is a book that was written by Harriet Breecher. This book portayed the life of a slave. Near the end the slave was beaten to death by his master. Many southerens take great offense in this becasue it made them look bad.

    This act would split the remainder of teh louisana purchase into two. These two states were Nebraska and Kansas. Later on Kansas was split into two sides. One slide was pro-slavery and the other was anti-slavery. Each side was extremly hostile to the other

    John brown raidin harpers ferry for weapons, but to no avial. He was then caught and exacuted. The norhterners mounred him for his sacrifice, but the Southerners were afraid that a "John Brown the second" would come and do the same thing.
