there were 5 separate bills passed as a Compromise. people that where in favor of having slaves they got some things they wanted and people against slavery got some too. -
Fugitive Slave Act
It was part of the Compromise of 1850. It mans a slave that escaped to a free state would be sent back to there owners. -
Uncle Tom's Cabin
It was a book about slaves and what there lives where like. It was against slavery too. -
Kansas-Nebraska Act
It was a law that said the people in Nebraskan and Kansas could choose if they wanted slavery. -
Bleeding Kansas
There was a lot of fighting over if the state could have slaves or not. they where fighting over the voting. -
Dred Scott Case
he was a slave who's slave owner came to MN and wanted to be free. The court said No matter where you are you are still a slave. -
Lincoln–Douglas debates
They debated if the USA should have slavery and there was 7 of them. -
Raid on Harper’s Ferry
John Brown and 22 people attacked an army building so he could start a war the he hoped would end slavery. He lost and got hung.
