    this act helped fuel the tension that were going on at this time for example this act was passed because of runaway slaves should be turned back in . Tensions began to pop up because of abolitionist did not support this.This act was also controversial which made the slave and non slave states more divided.

    UNCLE TOMS CABIN
    this helped begin the civil war by expressing to people or showing how the slaves were treated in poor conditions and people were mad and they started to oppose the use of slavery and northerners opposed while southerners did not they did oppose the book.

    This event helped lead to the civil war by the people voting if their state should be a slave or non slave state.This would mess up the missouri compromise which was passed earlier where there is a line diving slave and non slave states.This would result in bleeding kansas which were battles dealing with anti slavery so it was sort of already leading up to civil war technically.

    this decision of the supreme court would not help the slaves out and would get people mad dred scott went to court to fight for his rights but ended up losing this would get alot of people mad and abolish.

    When president lincoln was running for office many southern states did not approve of him becoming president due to his ideas about anti slavery they saw this as a threat . After he was elected south carolina seceded from the union to oppose the government and their politics.
