    was ment to get people buying american goods, but it hurt the South, because they had to pay more for goods. This also meant that the British was not gaining Money which led to a deccreses in sales of cotton. This angered the south.

    He led 21 men on a raid of the Federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia, so that he could arm the slaves and led an uprising. he was stopped by farmers, militia men, and maines led by Robert E. Lee. John Brown was tired, convicted and hung for his crimes.

    Candiant John C. Breckinridge was a pro-slavery, he joined the confederate army. Stephen A. Douglas was a slave owner. Abrham Lincion won the election, and was an abolitionist. Had lincion not won the Civil War would have been delayed.

    the confedericy shot at a civilian shipping boat on its way to Fort Sumter. The confedericy Bombing began in April 1861. Mississippi Seceded a few weeks after South Carolina, and by Feb. 4th 7 states had seceded. This was the Start of the Civil War.
