His family moved to Savona Christopher Columbus got a ship. In 1476 when his Christopher Columbus swims ashores when his ship is sunk in a battle off Portugal.

In 1492 King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain finally agree to lend Christopher Columbus to money and ships to explore. He went and got a crew. Then went on a big journey.

In March 5 1493 Christopher Columbus arrives at Palos in Spain. Then he said the his news about the New World. That was after he realized he was not near India and China.

In September 25 1493 The Second voyage of Christopher Columbus consisting of 16 ships carrying about 1500 men. Columbus explores Hispaniola and encounters the fierce Carib and Arawak native indians. He establishes a settlement in Haiti and searches for gold.

In 1498 Christopher Columbus was the first person to land in South America. But later news spreads to Spain about problems in the Spanish settlements. Then was ordered to investigate lead by Francisco de Bobadilla.
