Christopher Columbes arrived to the American continent and the first territory where he landed was an island that he named San Salvador (The Bahamas). During this voyage he explored part of Cuba and founded Hispaniola which is located in Haiti and Dominican Republic island and also he established a settlement called La Navidad.

Christopher Columbus made a second voyage to the New World with seventeen ships and 1200 men. He discovered other islands (Lesser Antilles) and named them: Monserrat, Antigua, Redonda, Nevis, San Kitts, San Eustacius, Saba, Saint Martin, and Saint Croix. He landed in Puerto Rico.

He left Spain with four ships, he tried to land in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic but he was not allowed to do so. He visited Central America (Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama).

Christopher Columbus died in Valladolid, Spain. His remains were moved many times to Dominican Republic, Cuba and Spain. His tomb is in Sevilla, Spain.
