  • Hitler's first "Saturday Surprise"

    For defensive reasons, Hitler made several reforms in Germany. Hitler announced that he would rebuild the Air Force. They also would rearm the nation. Finally, they would restore the draft.
  • German Soldiers March into Rhineland

    A strip of land called Rhineland was set as neutral in the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler ignored this and marched his troops right into it. This left the German army apt to be attacked.
  • Hitler Has Secret Meeting with the Austrian Prime Minister

    In an attempt to add Austria as a union of Germany, Hitler has a sectret meeting with the Austrian Prime Minister, Kurt von Schuschnigg. The meeting did not go well for Hitler. He was not able to obtain Austria, and is said to have gone to a fit of rage at von Schuschnigg.

    The town of Piotrkow was bombed. Many people died and the most important buildings were destroyed. after this, the Germans conquered and the Jews retaliated, building tension between the Nazis and the Jews.
