  • Silkirk's First Settlers

    Selkirk's first group of about 80 scottish settlers arrived at York Factory, aHudson's Bay Company fur trading post. Some of them arrived in 1812. That's a hard time for them
  • Selkirk's Second Settlers

    This year the lord of Scotland sent a party to Red river. There are 18 women, one girl and 11 chirldren in this party.
  • Metis was attacking

    Metis attacked fort Douglas in Red River Settlement and burn their buildings and crops. Only 60 settler remined. Many of them fled to upper Canada
