    Mexican American's joined the Agricultural workers organizing committe. Mostly made up of Filipino American farm workers. And started to strike against grape growers. with 1,200 members.

Many political civil rights leaders as well a very strong supporter was Robert Kennedy. Chavez went on a 25 day hunger strike and had attracted billions attention and belief in non violent.
