    This proposal was set for all the land from Mexican secession to be free. This event included the Northerners. It took place because the northerners did not want the southerners to have a lot of power in the Congress

    The slaves, northerners, and southerners were involved in this event. The act allowed the territories to choose by voting whether they wanted to be a slave state or free state but this started a fight, which broke a war in Kansas which people called Bleeding Kansas, because northerners and southerners wanted their own majority vote, and also because the south wasn’t allowing Kansas to be one of the slave states because it is located on the north side.

This took place Because Dred lived with his owner as a slave in 2 places where slavery was illegal so he thought that he was a free man but when he took his case to the court he wasn’t allowed to sue his owner because he wasn’t a US citizen. The case caused a lot of trouble for slaves and northerners.

    Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas are involved in this event. These two people debated on their own thoughts about slavery and the debates became very famous and this took place in Illinois. It took place because Lincoln and Douglas wanted to put their own thoughts and win the presidency. This debate caused Lincoln to win the electoral vote and win the presidency but it affected the united states but he states secession.

    John Brown and the slaves were involved in this event. John supplied the slaves with weapons and wanted to start a slave revolt in Harpers Ferry, Virginia. It took place because John Brown was motivated by the bible to do so and he also wanted to stop slavery. This raid caused a lot of disturbance in north and south and affected the relationship of north and south

    Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas are involved in this secession. The seven states separated from the union. It happened because Abraham Lincoln became the president . This caused less population in the union and it affected the balance of free and slave states
