    Columbus introduces slaves to America
    If Columbus wouldn't have introduced slaves into America there would have been no slavery to dispute over. Therefore there would have been no war.
  • Slaves introduced to Jamestown

    Slaves introduced to Jamestown
    This was a chance for them to get rid of slavery in the U.S. But they didn't so it lead to more slavery and fights about slavery
  • Deleration of Independence is signed

    Deleration of Independence is signed
    When they signed the decleration of independence they forgot to address slavery at all in the Declaration. Then because of that congress didn't have any right to forbid slavery from the country with out doing a vote.

    When the Cotton Gin was invented this caused a faster produce of coton so a need for more slaves. They needed more slaves because it made the south believe they needed to rely on slaves.

    When this compromise was put into place the south thought that the north in a way did not like them. That they were afraid to give them the lead in the senate so they wanted to add Maine as a free state.

    This was importnat because it caused alot more discipline and control on the plantations. WHich made the south mad because it meant more work and it made the north mad because it meant more slaves in danger

    WHen this book was published it gave the north more of an idea that they needed to keep fighting against slavery and get rid of it because ti showed how bad it was.

    This just caused havock because when they decided that Knasas and Nebraska could be either. People from the South and North flooded to Kansas and they had abattle trying to fight for Kansas.

    This made the slaves really angry because t made them feel like nothing because the court told Dred Scott he couldn't become a free man because he was property before human. So it made slaves feel like they were useless anymore.

    This lead to the civil war because it got slaves to rebel against the south and it gave them a possible chance to win against the south. They also did it to get rid of some of their armory.

    South Carolina Seceeded after Abe Lincoln was inaugarated because they thought tht it was unfair that they would abolish slavery which they relied on so they left and this led to the attack at fort sumter which was the beggining of the civil war.
