    The French And Indian War
    The french and indian war started in 1754 and ended in 1763. The french and indians fought because they both wanted control over north america. In the beginning the french were winning, by the end of the war the indians won. The negative effect it had on the british was that taxes were raised.

    April 27, 1763, the Ottawa leader Pontiac called members of several tribes together by Detroit. telling them he was able to convince many of them to join in an make an attempt to capture Fort Detroit from the British. pontiacs war began because they were dissatisfied with british policies after they won the french and indian war pontiacs war gets its name from the ottawa indian cheif pontiac , he attacked british colonies the british were fully aware and after 7 months he gave up

    Required the colonies to find a house for the troops the purpose was Britain to keep a standing army in the colonies without having to pay to much they were required to pay for the housing of troops and also the food for the troops they were scared the colonist were scared that maybe they could be attacked

    It was held because it was the very first congress, the key leaders were John Adams and James Otis. 9 out of the 13 colonies were represented. The declaration of rights and grievances is a written document stating that the taxes the british emply were unconstitutional.

    Named after Charles Townshend who sponsered them, it stopped the new york assembly from countining any other buisnesses until it affected the quartering act. it taxed lead, glass, paper, paint, and tea it had the colonist furious which also lead to riots the Intolerable/Coercive Acts and the tea acts remained

They built their defense on breeds hill. colonel william prescott led american colonist to bunker hill. general william howe lead the british to bunker hill. the britishs stratagies to win the fight was to scare the colonist to make them go right to the hill. because the americans werent trianed in this way. this battle was for the american colonist to bid for their independence. the british won it was close becuase they both had
