    The french and indian war started in 1754 and ended in 1763. The french and indians fought because they both wanted control over north america. In the beginning the french were winning, by the end of the war the indians won. The negative effect it had on the british was that taxes were raised.

    April 27, 1763, the Ottawa leader Pontiac called members of several tribes together by Detroit. telling them he was able to convince many of them to join in an make an attempt to capture Fort Detroit from the British. pontiacs war began because they were dissatisfied with british policies after they won the french and indian war pontiacs war gets its name from the ottawa indian cheif pontiac , he attacked british colonies the british were fully aware and after 7 months he gave up
