Soft Money
Money can come from corporations through political parties to support candidates. This is called "soft money". -

Regulates ads, and limits on ad spending too. -

Citizens United Decision
Citizens United v FEC and Speechnow v FEC Supreme Court decisions remove any limits of spending as long as they do not contribute directly to a candidate's campaign -
