Sometime in the 1490's, Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca was born into the Hidalgo family. His parents name's were Nunez and Teresa Cabeza de Vaca y de Zurita. He was born in the town of Jerez de la frontera.

On this date, Cabeza DeVaca finally departed to Texas.

In this year, he shipwrecked in Florida. From this day on, he woulod be fighting for survival for 8 years.

Finally, after so long, DeVaca finally found Spanish explorers and was welcomed back.

Finally, after 8 years of wonderingaround in Texas and another two years of waiting, he sails back to Europe and heads to Spain.

Soon after his return, he was sent back, this time to re-establish the settlement of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Only four years later, he was sent back and arrested because of his lost of his elite support and of the whole settlement. The charges were later dropped though.
