Throughout this time period, workers made product instead with power-driven machines rather than hand tools. This caused a boom for business to arise, and jobs for not only men, but eventually women and children.

    Laissez- faire/ Entrepreneurial Era
    The Entreprenurial Era started in the late 19th century. This idea was that government should leave businesses alone to their own devices and not involve themselves. Laissez-faire was this idea (Government hands off the business). This evolved later into a free market economy in the U.S.
  • The Production Era

    The Production Era
    The Production Era is said to be started with Henry Ford and the moving assembly line. This also was the beginning of "Scientific managment" this helped to manage production techniques. Business operators were boosting profit to incrase competition in price or reducing production costs for consumers.
  • The Marketing Era

    The Marketing Era
    The Marketing Era began after World War II, this was formed because of shortages after World War II. The marketing concept was to satisfy customer's needs and wants to create a profit and this concept still drives markets today. They used this concept to also advertise to customers to drive their wants and needs. Later this eventually evolves to concepts of supply and demand for marketing.

    The Global Era started in the 1980's, this era impacted businesses and jobs in America and other places of the world. Within this era U.S. businesses outsourced to other places in the world to new markets , so they could have cheaper competition from around the world. and U.S. businesses gained efficency, improved quality of products.

People all over the world own spart phones, computers, tablets and other devices that have internet and can communicate with people across the world in the matter of seconds. They use them for business, learning and commerce. The Internet allows small companies to compete with large companies, this also is a very common great resource for networking and marketing.
