    the late 16th century and the 18th century the English colonized the Americans with the help of the native. they also had causes and affects that helped this happened. Some of the pros were that :- they imported and exported new foods/ spices. Some of the cons were that the English had brought in deadly diseases.

    Reign of James 1

    James was a strong advocate of royal absolutism, and his conflicts with an increasingly self-assertive Parliament set the stage for the rebellion against his successor, Charles I.James. At one year old, he became king of Scotland on July 24, 1567. His mother ,Mary left the kingdom on May 16, 1568, and never saw her son again,the young king was kept fairly isolated but was given a good education until the age of 14.
