Wasily de Basil and Rene Blum made a revival of ballet, they name their new company ballet de russe de monte-Carlo. Same year George Balanchine a choreographer that was Diaghilevs ballet russe became dance master and principle choreographer. Balanchine made young baby ballerinas. Their name were Tamara Tomonova (dramatic),Tania riabouchinska(light) and Trina boranova (flirty) they all were different while dancing.

First performance of Ballet russe de monte-Carlo became successful similar to Diaghilevs ballet russe choreographer Balachine is replaced with Leonids Massine. Balachine only worked with the girls and the baby ballerinas and massine had ideas for men dancers.

Blum and Basil had disagreements,blum decited to leave the company. Massine then wants to leave to create his own company. War strikes between massine and basil over everything having to do with the company (legal rights) ,(name), (choreography) (dancers). Massine had the right of the name so basil changed the companies name to original ballet de russe monte-Carlo. Dancers had to choose if they were going with massine or basil.

Hurok (impresario) declared it was hard to work with basil. Hurok leave she and he was the one who had connections with the us so basil basically when hurok left was out of business. He found few opportunities in Latin America but it wasn't as big. Everything came crumbling down for basil.

Ballet russe de monte-carlo were Hollywood stars during the war years but massine started concentrating more on money and started producing flops. Ballet de monte-carlo decided to hire and American choreographer named Agnes de mile and so became true American ballet.
