  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The British and French fought a war for control of North America. The British won but got in a lot of debt. This war was important because it lead to the British owning North America and it lead to the Stamp Act, the Tea Act, and the Townshend Act.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    It was a law passed by the British Government making every citizen pay taxes to get out of debt. Every piece of paper had to have a stamp on it. This was important because it caused the citizens to revolt against taxes. It also caused the British to pay of their debt cause by the French and Indian war.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    This act was passed by the British government placing new taxes and taking away some freedom from the citizens. This was another act that made the British want to revolt against the government.
  • Unalienable Rights

    These rights were made to give people life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This act is important because it gave everyone the right to live their life the way they want to unless they have committed a crime.

    This forced the British to order tea from the company that taxed their Tea. This is important because it made the British want to revolt against taxes.

    This was made to discuss how the colonists were going to react to the kings laws. This is important because it caused the colonies to boycott British goods and established a basic structure of government.

    This battle started the American Revolutionary War. This battle started when the British commander heard of their supply of powder. This is important because it started the Revolutionary War.

    This document was made to declare Englands independence, liberty, equality, and protection of the rights. This document is important because it explained/declared our independence.

    This is known as the turning point of the war which convinced the French to help us defeat the British. This is important because if we wouldn’t have won this battle the French would have not helped us beat the British.

    This is when the Continental Army forced the British to surrender. This is important because this is when we won the war and became the United States of America.

    The Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolutionary War and brought peace to America. This was so important because it brought peace and gave independence to all American colonies.

    It turned the goals we had for our nation into a concrete system of government. This is important because it made our goals for the government actually happen and it confirmed that the people had power.

    The Bill of Rights is the first 10 amendments from the Declaration of Independence. This is so important because it declared the rights we automatically get today.

    This war was fought because the Northerns sates and Southerns states had issues of states’ rights and slavery. This was very important it led to the freedom we have today.

    This battle was known as the turning point. This battle is important because it lead to the civil war.
