One of the Aztec's gods told them to look for a Eagle sitting on a cactus and thats were they should live. They searched for 150 years. When they found it they built Tetnochitlan.

Once the Aztecs found the eagle they had to make the land liveble.

The temple od mayor was the main temlpe of Tenochitlan, The temple was dedicated to two gods Huilzilopochtli god of war and Tlaloc god of rain. At its base it was 100 by 80m wide. The temple had to be rebuilt 6 times.

Hernan Cortes led the expidition to Mexico and later conquored the Aztecs.

He was the ninth Aztec emperor. Moctezuma expanded the Aztec empire to its maximal size. He was ruling when Cortes came to Mexico and was killed sortly after by his people.

Cortes and his crew left spain in search of new land. After thay arived they meet Moctzuma and he gave then gold thinking they were gods. Moctezuma welocmed Cortes into the city.

Cortes and his army took Moctezuma hostage so the Aztecs drove the Spanish out of Tenochitlan. Then the Spanish and Aztecs fought Cortes won becuse of their weapons, disease and stratagey.
