  • The First Fleet Arrives

    The First Fleet Arrives
    The first fleet arrives at 1788 with around 80 convicts. This was the beginning of a new colony in Australia. They had to be careful because other countries were trying to take over Australia like the French.
  • The First Death

    Thomas Barratt was hanged for stealing from a store. This was the first death.
  • The first government conservation order

    The first government conservation order was that no trees should be chopped down within 15 metres of the stream that went down to Sydney Cove.
  • NO MORE COWS

    The last remaining cow was killed.
  • The Second Fleet.

    5 out of the 6 ships have arrived. The colony was gripped by a food crisis.
  • One of the ships from the third fleet has arrived.

    The third fleet was coming. Only the first one. :(
  • Sydney Cove Is no more!

    Sydney cove was wrecked and some survivors traveled from Bass Straight to Port Jackson, enabling the rescue of others.
  • Next Settlement!

    A settlement was founded at Risdon on the Derwent River in Van Diemens Land by John Bowen.
  • The first Bank!

    The Bank of New South Wales, opened in Macquarie Place, Sydney. Later on, this was renamed Westpac in 1982.
  • Penal colony!

    A penal colony was founded in Moreton bay, now the city of Brisbane.
  • The Sydney Herald!

    The Sydney Herald later to be called the Sydney Morning Herald was first published.
  • New Zealand is lonely!

    New Zealand was now a separate colony, no longer part of new south whales.
  • New Penal Colony!

    Western Australia became a separate colony or state.
  • We Have States!

    All the states become separate.
