    If some Chinese Historians are correct it means that the Asians were the first people after the Aborigines to stand on the soil of Australia. The Hindu travellers were actullay trading the Birds of Paradise feathers but a monsoon swept them to Australia although this may not be true.

One ship got itself shipwrecked on the coast of Warrnambool. This ship is called Mahogany ship.

    What happened? Captain James Cook claimed Australia for the crown. He's usually regarded as the man who discovered Australia but this is wrong in fact it was actually the Dutch who discovered Australia but they didn't colonise it. This affects all of Australia's history because Captain Cook had the idea of colonising Australia.

    It occurred because the prisons in England were becoming overcrowded. It's big because it was the first colony in Australia.
    It was a very big for the Aborigines the natives of the land who on that day lost their land.

    Truganini, the last surviving Tasmanian Aborigine has died today. Her race was hunted to extinction 80 years after the British arrived on the island in 1802. It occurred because the British wanted to take the really bad convicts to Tasmania to wander about but soon these Bushrangers started hunting the Aborigines.

    What happened? Their was a vote in each of the states on if the six colonies of Australia should make one big country. All the colonies except Western Australian said yes.
    It occurred because a man called Henry Parks thought of making the Labour Party for one big country called Australia.
    But it wasn't all good because the Aborigines couldn't vote.

It impacted Australia because Britain declared war on Germany and since Australia was part of the commonwealth they had to fight. This affected Australian lives because they were at the Gallipoli landings with New Zealand where lots of lives were lost.

    What happened? The last known Tasmanian Tiger dies at the Hobart zoo and the species becomes extinct. They mainly became extinct due to hunting but also died out to logging and disease. This is a big part in Australian history because it shows how the British changed our land and how life can easily be exterminated.

    Today most of what Australia is comes from English roots like are sport. Australians like to to play Cricket and Rugby which comes from England. Their language is English and thier religion is catholicism. Today Aborigines have equal rights as white people and have not as much limits as the last century.
