    The first settlers arrived in 1587 when the Plymouth Company established in the place that the called Ronakoe (Virginia in these days).

    Mysteriously the Plymouth company establishment failed, due to this the London company sent a ship with new settlers. They established in a new area near the Plymouth company named by them as Jamestown.

    When the first pilgrims arrived the founded the second colony called Massachusetts. They wanted the goverment to be a democracy, they wanted the people to decide what is going to happen.

    The land was given to John Mason, and he decided to make a colony with it. He live in Hampshire county in England, which is why the colony was named New Hampshire.

    This colony was crated by Catholic people who wanted to live far away from the religious tyranny in England.

    This colony even when it started in 1635 it was not consireded a colony until 1636. The people that lived here believed in freedon from govenment and the everyone needs to earn their own fortune. A lot of people were religious.

    Roger Williams wanted to do some changes in the religion scope, the government of Massachusetts did not take it well banished him to England, but instead of that he started to live with the native americans creating a group called Providence. Later when people started to get banished to England they started their own groups and get thogether with Providence creating the sixth colony.

    "Delaware was originally a part of New Sweden, which also included Philadelphia and other parts of Pennsylvania. Later the king of England gained control over the portion east of the Delaware river and named it Delaware."

    Tired of the religious laws in virginia a small group moved to the south. Later that land was given by the king to a noblemen who sent his settlers who joined to the people that was already there. This land was called Carolina.
  • Carolina got separated

    After Carolina was created the noblemen owner of Carolina sold back the land to the king, due to this Carolina got separated crating North and South Carolina.

    Duke fo York recieved Netherland as and he named it New York in his honor.

    When Duke of York gived part of his land to two of his friends they decided to colonize it with many people sending a lot of settlers amazed by the promises of them. After a lot of people were living there the land was sold to Quakers and it was devided in two pieces, they were called East and West Jersey.

    When William Penn recieved land in America from his grandfather he started his own colony called Pennsyslvania, this colony aimed to give freedom from religion and protection to him and everyone who wanted that.

  • The last colony (Georgia)

    The last colony (Georgia)

    This colony was created by James Oglethorpe named in King George's honor. This colony was crated with two purposes, one was to give a new opportunity for the people who were in jail, and to serve as a military base to defend against the Spanish.
