    M.A.D (Q. 3)

MAD stands for Mutually Assured Destruction, and it is the reason neither the Soviets nor the US used the nukes they created during the Cold War. M.A.D only partially holds true, as some countries have enough nukes to completely destroy each other, however, some countries like North Korea have not been restrained in the creation of their nukes. MAD may not apply because it requires rational consideration of the use and consequences of nuclear weapons, which may not apply to North Korea.

The H-bomb raised Cold War tensions because of the creation of more powerful nukes, which could obviously cause tons of damage if they were dropped on another country. And with the constant reproduction of these types of bombs, the tension only got worse and worse.
