    British General in America during the American Revolurion. Was defeated at Yorktown, but refused to meet with Gaorge Wasthington to surrender. Was involved in almost every major battle.

    Patriot, who wrote the Declaration of Independence I in Phyladelphia. Was the Third President.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    Marquis De Lafayette
    French general in the American Revolution who lead the French fleet in the battle of Yorktown, which lead to the Patriot Victory.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    A mob of colonists gathered around 9 British soldiers and threw insults and rocks at them. The British fired into the mob and killed 5 people. This angred many colonists and raised Patriot support.

    The Sons of Liberty dressed up in indian costumes and dumbed a ship load of tea into the Boston Harbor to protest taxation.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    British went to Concord to capture rellel military supplies, which had already been moved. The Minutemen stoped them along the way. The British were outnumbered and forced to fall back. The patriots chased them back to Boston. This started the American Revolution.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The Patriots had fortified Breed's Hill and Bunker Hill. The British attacked three times before the Patriots ran out of ammunition and were forced to retreat. The British went on to Boston. This battle showed the Patriots could stand up to the British.

  • Battle of Trenton

    George Washintong crossed the Delaware River and surprise attacked the Hessian soldiers at Trenton. Most of the Hessian force was captured with minimal losses. This battle raised morral and inspired reenlistment.

    The Patriots surrounded General John Burgoyne and his men. The British tried to break out but failed. He surrendered his entire army to the Americans. This battle sucured the foreign aid Americans recieved in the American Revolution.
  • Valley Forge

    Military camp in Valley Forge Pensylvania, where George Washtington stayed during the winter between 1777and 1778. Starvation, disease, and cold killed over 2500 American soldiers. This lowered American moral greatly.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    The French and American troops and the French fleet surrounded general Cornwallis at Yorktown. The British surrendered to George Washington. This battle ended the American Revolutionary War.
