    A new Anti-War groups was created by the name of Women Strike for Peace. This group became world-wide taken place in almost every state in the U.S. The lady is standing up for other women because they didn't like the things being taught in schools because of the war.

    The 1st national demonstration done by the SDS, with more than 20,000 people to march along with them. Taken place in Washington, D.C.
  • Burning of the Draft Cards

    Burning of the Draft Cards
    40 men burnt their draft cards, which was given to them by the government. Draft cards was given to them because they once registered for the army. The picture below demonstrates a few drafters burning their cards.

    This opposed the U.S. policy and participation in the Vietnam War. This campaign was created to symbolize peace, justice, and and the rights of all U.S. military veterans. One of the most influential anti-war organizations. Founded by John Kerry. The photo below takes place in on the Memorial Bridge in Washington, D.C during a protest.

    Democratic National Convention in Chicago
    Tens of thousands of Vietnam protestors battle police in the streets. Eventually this led to a bunch of violence for example, fights broke out on the convention floor, people beaten and knocked to the ground and gas brought out. This photo below shows police knocking a man down to the ground and about to beat him with nightsticks.
  • Kent State Massacre

    Kent State Massacre
    Students were protesting for the bombing in Cambodia. Students threw rocks, shouted out insults at soldiers. Four students were killed, and 9 were injured. Also innocent people were killed. The photo below shows a 14 year old runaway fatally shot for no apparent reason.
