    The Shang dynasty

    The Shang dynasty was the second dynasty of Ancient China. This dynasty lasted over 600 years and was led by 30 different emperors. The Shang dynasty was also referred the Yin dynasty. One of the most famous kings of the Shang dynasty was Wu Ding who ruled for about 58 years.

    The Zhou dynasty

    The Zhou dynasty is also divided into two periods just like the Han dynasty. The two times periods are Western Zhou which started from 1046 to 771 BCE, and the Eastern Zhou that started from 770 to 256 BCE. King Wu was the first king to rule this dynasty.

    The Shang Dynasty ended after the battle of Muye that took place in the Muye battle region,which today is the Xinxiang Region in Henan Province. Last the Zhou dynasty was established when the battle was over.

    The Zhou dynasty came to an end during Warring states period in 256 BC, when the army of the state of Qin captured the city Chengzhou, and the last Zhou ruler was killed.

    The Qin dynasty started for about 221 BC and lasted for about 15 years. Their were two emperors who ruled this dynasty, the first emperor was Qin Shi Huang and later his son Huhai. The Qin dynasty had a population of forty million people. It is one of the most famous dynasties of the ancient Chinese history.

    The Han dynasty ruled from 206 BC to 220 AD. The Han dynasty had two main periods, the western Han which lasted from 206 BC to 9 AD, and the eastern Han which lasted from 25 AD to 220 AD. During this period 24 emperors were on the throne. The first emperor to rule in this period was Liu Bang.
