    Lexington and Concord

    On April 19, 1775 the first shots fired of the American Revolution against Britain were shot in Lexington and Concord. In this battle a militia defeated over 700 Britain troops and caused the Colonies to later become Inderpendent. The British were lead by Francis Smith, John Pitcairn, and Hugh Percy.

    Ethan Allen and his "Green Mountain Boys" attacked and captured Britain's For Ticonderoga and Crown Point in backwoods New York.

    The British lead by William Howe attacked the United Colonies lead by Israel Putman and William Prescott. It showed the colonies they actually have a chance against the great and powerful British Army.

    The United Colonies lead by George Washington crossed they border of Delaware and killed some Hessian fighter bought by the British Army. They then went to Princeton and held most of New Jersey.

    The British army wanted more control so they had they British army lead by General John Burgoyne attack Benedict Arnold and won. However when he attacked again he failed. This was a clear sign to the French that the United colonies actually have a chance and tell help the United colonies.

    The Americans suffered heavily in this battle and surrendered under the command of Major General Benjamin Lincoln to the British lead by Lieutenant General Sir Henry Clinton.

    The United Colonies lead by James Williams beat the British troops lead by Patrick Ferguson. It made it so Cornwallises flank could be easily used and penetrated.

    The United Colonies lead by George Washington with the company of the French Navy destroyed General Cornwallis at Yorktown. This symbolized many things for the United Colonies which made them become the United States of America.
