    End of the French and Indian War
    The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian War The French received all land from the Mississippi River west, while the British received all land east of the Mississippi River.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    There was a gathering in the streets of Boston.The colonists were angry, and when the British soldiers showed up it made things worse.The redcoats were trying to calm the people down, but the colonists continued to be angry and antagonize the redcoats.The colonists soon began to throw ice balls at the redcoats.One had knocked a young officer in the head.Out of the blue someone had yelled fire, and the redcoats thought it was there officer in command. The first shot fired killed Crispus Attikus.

    At the time of 1776 the draft of the Declaration of Independence was written by no other than Thomas Jefferson. At this time there was eighty-six changes made to the Declaration. Although after it was changed properly members of the committee wanted to draft it or publish it. Even congress wanted this to happen.

    American and British Battle of Saratoga
    This was an American victory over the British. The British eventually surrendered on October 17th. Since the Americans won this gave France confidence in the Americans, and soon became an American ally. During the battle of Saratoga the British wanted to take control of upstate New York. This was to be in the hopes of isolating the New England colonies from the south. The Americans surprised the British and lucky fought them out.

    This act stated that no new slaves were to be brought over. Jefferson wanted to get rid of importation of slaves for good. 1784 he proposed a ban of slavery in its entire.

    This major event for the British. Had had successfully obtained another victory to their name. The British wanted to take Charleston,and South Carolina. Intending to use these places as bases in future operations.
