    The winter at Valley Forge was a very hard obstacle the Americans. Many of them died of starvation and cold. However, Baron Von Steuben helped the soldiers to train and because a fighting machine.

    This battle affected the Patriots in a negative way. The win was suppose to go to the Patriots, however, the British won this battle. This caused the French to not send troops and supplies to the Americans like they promised because they weren't sure if they should send them. Especially, after this defeat.

    This battle was the first major victory for the Patriots (in the south). This is considered the turning point of the war. The patriots destroyed Lord Cornwallis' left wing in the army completely.

    Gladly, the Patriots won this battle. This battle forced the British to get out of South Carolina. The Patriots used the same strategic plan in the other battle known as, Guilford Courthouse.

    This is the last major battle in South Carolina. This battle was fought near Charleston, South Carolina. In this battle, the British had a tactical victory. However, the Patriots or Americans had a strategic advantage.

    The Battle of Yorktown
    The Battle of Yorktown was the last battle of the American Revolution. Gladly, the Patriots won. Lord Cornwallis surrendered the George Washington. The Americans had finally gained their freedom.
  • The Treaty of Paris was signed.

    The Treaty of Paris was signed.
    The Treaty of Paris of 1783, ended the Revolutionary War and it was then recognized that the Americans were finally independent. It was officially signed in Paris, France.
