  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    A group of Massachusetts colonists dressed up as Mohawk Indians ,and boarded three ships. Then they dumped 342 chests of east India tea in the Boston harbor.

  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    The commanding leader of the Americans at the battle of bunker hill was Colonel Prescott, the commander of the British was General William Howe. Colonel Prescott’s troops were low on ammunition, to make sure they didn't miss he told them “Don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes!” The battle was a loss for the Americans however with they only suffered 370 losses, but the British suffered 1,000. This battle inspired the american recruits, and built up their morale to fight.

    Battle of German Town
    General Washington devised a plan to attack British General Howe’s troop of 9,000. Washington led 4 columns of troops, so they could attack simultaneously. But one of the column was lost in the fog. They were spotted by the British and went into retreat suffering heavy losses.
    This was something worth mentioning because George Washington was in the fray, If he died the war may have been over.
  • Siege of Fort Mifflin

    General Howe realized that taking the forts around Philadelphia would boost the morale of his soldiers; so he decided to attack Fort Mifflin.The British prepared cannons to attack Fort Mifflin. He needed supplies, however the Delaware river froze. Therefore he needed to break the ice, but he couldn't because he Mifflin was there so he laid siege too it. Washington sent reinforcements,but not enough. The british bombarded the fort with a cannons and the Americans retreated.

    The Battle of Eutaw spring was a British victory, it was the last battle that took place in the south. Nathaneul Greene was the commander in the battle, with 2,200 troops against 2,000 British troops he lost. This battle was the very last battle in the south, so it led to the Americans victory in the war.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    17000 continental and French troops led by Washington and Roshambue began siege on YorkTown against Cornwallis in the most important battle on the American Revolution Marquise de Lafayet blocked his retreat by land and the french navy blocked it by sea, Cornwallis was isolated. After 3 weeks of the siege Cornwallis surrendered. This battle led to the Americans victory in the American Revolution. The British started to negotiate a peace treaty with the Americans.
