  • Stamp Act of 1765

    Stamp Act of 1765

    The whole point of the Stamp Act was to require colonists to pat tax on printed materials. Lots of colonsts tried protesting against this act and would state "No taxation without representation". After a year later it was repealed in 1766.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre

    During the massacre, the British had killed 5 colonists in Boston. The Boston Massacre was used as a propaganda to increase the support for the American Revolution. Fun fact about the Boston Massacre is that John Adams defended the British soldiers, stating they deserved a fair trial.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party was a protest act againts the Tea Act, colonists did not agree with the Tea Act so they boycotted by dumping tea into the Boston Harbor. Fun fact about the protestors, it was actually organized by the Sons of Liberty. The Boston Tea Party and Tea Act led to the Intolerable Acts by the British Parliament.

    Battles of Lexington & Concord

    It is usually known for the first armed war of the American Revolutionary War. The conflict all started due to when British troops sent all their arms and munitions. Also, fun fact about this is they actually were the start of the American Revolutionary War.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill

    Unexpectedely enough, The Battle of Bunker Hill
    was actually fought mostly on the Breed's Hill because they misinterperated which hill ws Bunker Hill. Although, the British had won; they had more damage done than the Americans due to having 1,000 casualties meanwhile, America only had around 450. This event in history proved to the British that the Americans were determined to fight.
  • Declaration of Independence adopted

    Declaration of Independence adopted

    The whole point of The Declaration of Independence adaption was to declare the American colonies freedom. Fun fact is that Thomas Jefferson was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence was adapted on July 4th, 1776.
  • Battle of Camden

    Battle of Camden

    This battle was basically about the British trying to take and keep control of the Southern colonies during the American Revolutionary War. This battle was in South Carolina. This defeat was so big and personal that it damaged the reputation of the South.

    Battle of Yorktown

    This battle was meant for American independence and it led to negotiations. This battle is the battle that ended the American Revolutionary War. During this battle, General Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris was signed in Paris and signed by King George the III of Great Britain and representatives of the United States. The point of the treaty was to formally and correctly end the warfare between the two. This event OFFICIALLY ended the American Revolutionary War.

    Constitutional Convention

    The whole point of this event in history was to change the Articles of Confederation; but instead it ended up creating a new Constitution. This event was taken in Philadelphia in 1787. James Madison, Ben Franklin and George Washington were all apart of this.
  • 3/5 Compromise

    3/5 Compromise

    This event was a compromise dedicated to make a deal with the Sourthern and Northern states to equalize the power between in the house of Representatives. This was a compromise that was reached during the United States Constitutional Convention. A fun fact is that the 3/5 Compromise was very thought about back and forth that some delegates at the Constitutional Convention threatened to walk out.
  • Great Compromise

    Great Compromise

    This event in history is also known for the Connecticut Compromise because of the fact it was presented by Roger Sherman and Oliver Ellsworth. The Great Compromise resolved a deadlock to take down the Constituntional Convention. The number of representatives in the House wasn't permanant and was adjusted later on.
  • Constitution is ratified

    Constitution is ratified

    The point of ratifying the Constitution was to make a more stable federal government in the U.S. Fun fact, Delaware was the first state to ratify the Constitution on December 7, 1787. It was very very important to add the Bill of RIghts to convince states to ratify the Constitution
  • Bill of Rights adopted

    Bill of Rights adopted

    The Bill of Rights actually wasn't in the original Constitution. There is 27 amendments in the Constitution but there was originally only 10. It protects people from the federal government.

    Great Britain got an important territory in North America. It greatly increased the taxation. It was also known to a big contribution to the American Revolution.
