    Proclamation of 1763
    The proclamination was started to end the colonial expansion. The king wanted to calm down the indians mind about the colonist driving them out of the colonies. This limited where the americans could migrate and establish new settlement so they wanted to fight for more land.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    An act that required the ameerican colonist to pay tax on paper that they used. The money from the stamp act was used to go towards the support of thr troops. alot of news people protested aganist it and bashed the british/england in the newspaper. The colonist felt as though their rights were violated. They didnt have any representation to the stamp act, it just happened. They wanted to show that they were mad and so they burned down homes and buildings. Which lead to the revolutionary war.

    The Townshed Revenue Act
    added revenue tax on different things to raise money just like the stamp act. New tax on paint, chinaware, pasteboard, lead, fruit and wine. The colonist loved when the stamp act was repealed. They was clam after that , but since the british added another act for taxes the colonist got mad because of the $$. They started things that lead up to the war like riots.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre started by colonist throwing snowballs and picking fights with the british soldiers. The british fought back and killed many colonist which made them look like bad people. The colonists were mad so they wrote in the newspaper bashing the british soldiers so no one in town liked them. This led to the Royals trying to flee boston, and taking the army. The armed rebellions wanted to fight because of the royals leaving boston.

    Tax on tea was the only thing stayed after thr repeal of the townshed act. They wanted to get the british east indian comapany out of debt so they kept the tax on tea. The taxes were too much for the american colonies so they revolted which also led up to the revolutionary war.

    The first meeting was held in philly. Every colony except georgia was there, everyone sharedthere opinions. There was 7 presidnets of the convention and 12 colonies were there.
  • Patrick Henry

    He represented virgina in the first congress meeting. he had a gunpowder store where he sold gunpowder to the british for a reasonable price. He said a speech which is named give me liberty or give me death. He talked about not having royalty anymore just people in charge.

    General Gage had aplan where he would send troops to lexington where they would take leader Sam Adams and John Hancock and then go to concord take gun powder. Some how world got out and the americans caught on to their plan. The americans tried to end their plan .

    George Washington was named commande chief. he was a good leader for the american colonies because he knew what he wanted and how he wanted it. Days later the revolutionary war started so america can actually some sort of confiedence.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    Started by the colonist knowing the british to take over Dorchester Heights. The colonist wanted to protect their land so and freedom so they fought the british. This was the first battle of the Revolutionary war.
