    Battle of Lexington and Conord
    Eight Minuteman died at Lexington. Then the British won the war, and the British kept going to concord. On the way there they got ambushed from behind trees, and walls. They where forced to go back to Boston Massachusetts. Throughout the war British lost 73 minutemen.

    On May 10, 1775 fewer than a hundred militiaman crossed lake Champlain at dawn, surprising and defeating the British that were sleeping . The Americans won the war.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The British defeated the Americans at the battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. There was 2,200 British coming to the hill, Prescott told the Americans don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. 100 Americans were killed and 300 wounded, but the British lost 200 and 800 wounded.

    The Americans attacked the rear of the British. They both retreated to where they were going. But then the Americans went back at them. Both the British and the Militia won the war.

    The Americans were positioned on the outskirts of New York City on a bunch of hills in Brooklyn. The British Commander was General William Howe. 300 American men were killed and 1000 captured. The British won the Long Island war.

    The battle took place on Christmas night, George Washington crossed the Delaware with a division of his army. There was a violent snow storm and the river was full of ice. The Americans held them up at a bridge while some secured the highlands and the others moved to the Southern side of the Delaware River. The battle ended in victory of the Americans.

    The battle of Saratoga was 2 battles. On September 19th the British achieved a small, but costly victory over the Americans. His troops were weakened but he attacked the Americans again, but this time they were defeated and forced to retreat. The British surrendered ten days after the battle.
