    A small force of Americans led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold overtook a British held fort. This later led to the breaking of the standings at the Siege of Boston.

    The battle was fought during the siege of boston and took place on what is known as breed hill. The commanders were William Prescott and William Howe. This battle led the British to be more cautious in later battles.
