    The British won the battle of Lexington, but the Patroits won the battle of Concord. These were the first battles of the American Revolution.

    The Patriots won. This battle served as a morale builder and provided a lot of annumition for the first year of the war.

    The British won after storming the hill three times. Although they won they had more than one thousand injured or killed.

    The British won. The British badly outnumbered the colonists. The battle of Long Island was the first major battle after the Declaration of Independence.

    The Patriots won. Washington led troops to Trenton where he captured many Hessians.

  • Saratoga

    The Patriots won. Burgoyne, a British general, was alone because the other groups had failed to come to Saratoga. After this battle the French agreed to help the American cause.

    The British won. Th British badly outnumbered the colonists. This battle was one of the only ones in the South and was a huge turning point for the South.

  • Yorktown

    The Patriots won. There were 14,000 Americans and French against 8,000 British. Almost all of the British were captured. Cornwallis, a British officer, surrendered to Washington. This was the last major battle of the American Revolution.
