    This battle started the American Revolution. These two battles were the first battles of war. It was between Britain and the thirteen colonies of America. The night before the attack, Paul Revere went to towns warning the British were coming. 73 British and 49 Americans died. British soldiers were in search of guns and ammunition. America won this battle.

    Battle of Fort Ticonderoga
    This was an easy battle for the Americans. Benedict Arnold of Massachusetts joined Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys of Vermont in a dawn attack on the fort. They surprised and captured the sleeping British troops There were no casualties in this attack. America won this battle. When the colonists gained control of this fort, they got control of the waterways that the British were using too.

    The real Battle of Bunker Hill was fought on Breed's Hill. There were many more British troops than American troops in this battle. The colonial forces inflicted many casualties for the British, but the British won this battle. 268 British and 115 Americans died. The only reason the colonists lost the war was because they ran out of ammunition.

This battle was also called the Battle of Brooklyn or the Battle of Brooklyn Heights. This was the largest battle of the entire war. 300 Americans and 63 German and British soldiers died. The British won this battle.

Americans won this battle. After Americans won this battle, the French finally decided to support the American cause.

Americans won these battles. After this battle ended, the French officially entered the war as an ally of the Americans.

    This battle was fought in Monmouth County, New Jersey. George Washington led the American troops against the British. 300 British and 350 Americans died. More people died from the heat than from the battle. No one won this battle. Both sides were exhausted and stopped fighting.

    This battle was between American Patriot forces and British forces. It was a battle defending the Carolinas. 110 British and 12 Americans died. The British army was wiped out by death or being taken as prisoners. The Americans won this battle.

    This battle was also known as the Siege of Yorktown, the Surrender at Yorktown, German Battle, or the Siege of Little York. It was the last major battle in North America during the American Revolutionary War and was known as the American War of Independence. It was between American and French forces led by George Washington and British forces. 60 French, 28 Americans, and 156 British were killed. The Americans and French won this battle.
