    Colonists who chose to side the British were known as loyalists.Historians estimated that 45% were patriots and 30% were loyalists. Many Colonies fled because of the abuse by Patriots. Loyalist have to abandon their properties and have to move to Canada and British allow them.Many families got separated. Native Americans were neutral.
