  • Lexington

    Paul revere, William dawes, and Samuel prescott sent a message to everybody that more than 700 troops were coming, when the redcoats arrived, 70 of them were ready to fire their guns but ended up injured and some of them even killed. The battle didn't last very long.
  • Concord

    The British soldiers marched to concord the same day that they fought with the minutemen and massacred them. Around 3000 and 4000 minutemen had assembled that day, the minutemen killed over a dozen british soldiers.
  • Bunker Hill

    General Thomas decided to to strike at militia on breed's hill that was close to the bunker. General Thomas sent over 2400 british soldiers to the hill to fight the colonist. The colonist lost 450 men and the british injured over 1000 men.
  • New York

    The British won the war under General Sir William Howe and the Continental Army under General George Washington.
  • Trenton

    General George Washington's army crossed the icy Delaware on Christmas Day 1776 and, over the course of the next 10 days, won two crucial battles of the American Revolution.
  • Philadelphia

    Washington prepared defenses against Howe's movements at Brandywine Creek, but was flanked and beaten back in the Battle of Brandywine on September 11, 1777.
  • Saratoga

    British general John Burgoyne earned the nickname "Gentleman Johnny" for his love of leisure and his tendency to throw parties between battles. His surrender to American forces at the Battle of Saratoga marked a turning point in the Revolutionary War.
  • Valley Forge

    In December, 1777, General George Washington moved the Continental Army to their winter quarters at Valley Forge. Though Revolutionary forces had secured a pivotal victory at Saratoga in September and October, Washington's army suffered defeats at Brandywine, Paoli, and Germantown, Pennsylvania. The soldiers also began to run very low on their supplies.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    In february the American troops started to transform. Military leader Marquis De Lafayette helped them and they won the war.
  • Yorktown

    The british surrendered at yorktown learning the armies have moved south.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The delegates signed the Treaty of Paris which confirmed the us Independence and became a new nation. Because of this the united states became larger from the canada border to florida. The treaty was signed by King George the 3rd of britain and Members of the United states of America.
