    2600 British attacked 1600 Americans that were protecting bunker hill from Breeds hill. Americans survived two charges, but had to retreat at the third charge, but the british still took heavy casualties.

    British general Cornwallis and his men were traped in Yorktown. Surrounded by the American army and the French navy. Cornwallis and 8,000 british troops gave up. This was the last major battle of the revolution.

    Lord shelborne sent Richard Oswald to negotiate a treaty with the americans to end the war. Oswald and representatives of the americans signed the treaty, officialy ending the war.
