  • Fort Necessity

    After Washington defeated the French, he built Fort Necessity in Louisiana.
  • Seven Years War

    The seven years war began as the British declared war with France.
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris was signed.
  • Stamp Act

    Parliament passes the Stamp Act. Announced by Prime Minister George Greenville.
  • Quartering Act

    The Quartering Act was passed by the Parliament in order to asess the deyploment of British troops.
  • Boston Massacre

    Bostonian citizens attacks British soldiers in Boston, Massachusets.
  • Boston Tea Party

    A group of men who opposes the Tea Act went and attacked the ships with tea that came from Britain disguised as Indians with Mohawks an threw all the tea out onto the open sea.
  • American Revolution

    War between Americans and the British. Americans fought with the British to gain their own independence and freedom.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Jefferson declared his written document for Independence that King George will stop abusing the people of the United States and that gave us freedom.
  • Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 congress men including John Hancock, Ben Franklin, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson.
  • Valley Forge

    George Washington sets up a camp at Valley Forge but they were lacking supplies from the very start. The 12,000 men who were encamped there suffered greatly.
  • Constitution Was Ratified

    The Constitution was ratified and it became our new government.
  • First President was assigned in office

    The first President of the United States was elected which was George Washington
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Thomas Jefferson purchased the Louisiana territory when he heard it was about to fall the hands of France but hence, he did not let this happen and bought the Louisiana territory for $15 million dollars per acre and that double the size of the United States.
  • Lewis and Clark Expedition

    After the Louisiana territory was purchased, the Congress approved $2,500 for an exploratory expedition to the unknown Louisiana territory. Lewis and Clark were the two men who were hired to explore the west.
  • Battle of Tippecanoe

    The American army defeated the Native Americans who were staying at Prophetstown and burned it down which drove off the natives.
  • War of 1812

    The War of 1812 was to maintain the American Independence from the British.
  • Monroe Doctrine

    The Monroe Doctrine was made for President James Monroe's seventh annual message to the Congress. According to Monroe, the Europeans must respect the Western Hemisphere.
  • Indian Removal Act

    President Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act. The Cherokee were forced to move west according to the American Congress during the winter. Nearly 4,000 Native Americans died on this march to the west well known as the "Trail of Tears".
  • Battle of Gonzales

    Texans went to the town of Gonzales and shot Mexicans. This led up to the Texas Revolution for Independece.
  • Mexican-American War

    Americans fought for land that was originally from the Mexicans. After this war, Mexicans lost nearly one-third of their land.
  • American Civil War

    The American Civil War was a war for the slaves to gain freedom and have equality shared with the people of the United States.
  • Emancipation Proclamation

    The Emancipation Proclamation was signed and issued by President Abraham Lincoln.
  • End of Reconstruction

    Reconstruction ended due to the fact that the Northerners were tired of the decade of reconstruction efforts.
