Callie's bestfriend Amy was caught talking about Callie in a negative way on the last day of school. Callie was replaced by a more mature person who likes more of the same things as Amy. This person's name is Samantha McHiggins. -

Exposition 2, Setting
Callie's worst nightmare started at school when she lost her best friend. Then she dashed home to cry alone where her house was known as the weirdest house on the block. -
Exposition 3, Characters
Callie has a large household including:
Callie a 12 year old girl with a dream to be an olympic diver
Grandma who is obsessed with anything on TV with a heartbreak
Kenith and Clay Callie's two brothers one 3 and one 14 Mom and Dad both work really hard all day and come home to a full house
Uncle Danny who is trying to raise 12 ferrets
She also has many friends and ex-friends that include
Amy Higgins and Samantha McAllister new besties and Callie's new enemies

Rising Action 1
Callie gets kicked out of the community pool and can no longer do fun things with dive friends like she normally would because the mother in charge of the group feels Callie is a bad influence after not following the pool rules. -
Rising Action 2
A new neighbor moves in next door with a child Callie's age filling Callie with anticipation of who it might be. -
Rising Action 3
The neighbors name is Hoot and wants Callie to show him around but Callie is in a bad mood and says they can do it the next day. Callie is really not looking forward to it because she is afraid to be looked down upon for hanging out with Hoot. -
Rising Action 4
Callie gets grounded and needs to do chores before she can go on the bike ride she is dreading so Hoot offers to help with chores so that they can go on the bike ride sooner. -
Rising action 5
Out on the bike ride Callie sees her ex-best friend and her mom. Amy's mom who doesn't know about what happened on the last day of school invites Callie to a sleep over but Amy makes an excuse for why Callie can't go. -
Rising Action 6
Hoot and Callie go home and Hoot asks if he can go with Callie and her dad to the YMCA after he found out about Callie's training. Callie's dad approves very happily. -
Rising Action 7
Hoot, Callie, and Dad go to the Y the so Callie can practice dives for the first time since the insident at the community pool. -
Falling Action 1
Later that day Callie and her dad ask her mom and she didn't think that Callie should try so hard and possibly not make the team. Mom thought that Callie was at a disadvantage since she was younger than the age limit. -
Rising Action 8
Callie impresses Hoot and her dad with a perfect dive. This makes Hoot realize that Callie is a very very good diver. -
Climax/Turning Point
On the way out Hoot sees an advertisement for dive team tryouts and Callie's dad thinks it is a great idea. The only problem is that it is a 13 and up tryout and Callie will need permission from both of her parents. -
Falling Action 2
Callie and the rest of the family convince mom to let Callie to do the tryouts after days of begging and convincing. Mom still didn't fully aprove of the idea but was still allowing Callie to try. -
Falling Action 3
Callie, Hoot, and Dad practice very hard for the next couple of weeks. Hoot would only come every once in a while but Callie still practiced every week. -
Falling Action 4
Callie made what she thought to be a perfect dive every time but after trying so hard she didn't make the team. She is hoping to try again next year though. -
Falling Action 5
Callie takes her younger brother to the park and when she gets back she sees an ambulance at her house and is worried that her grandmother had another stroke but is terrified to find out that her dad had a heartattack. -
Falling Action 6
Callie, Grandma, Kenith, and Clay stay home while mom comes in and out going from home to the hospital. Barley getting any sleep and not giving much information about Callie's dad. -
Resolution 1
The rest of the family finally get to go see Dad. They find out that there are going to be lots of changes in the next years because Dad needs to go on some serious diets to prevent this from happening again. -
Resolution 2
That night Callie made a list of things that need to change in her life and her father's and how she can help.
