Thirteenth Amendment Passes

Called for the emancipation of all slaves with no compensation to their owners. It also made slavery illegal in the United States of America.

Abraham Lincoln Assassinated

Apr 14, 1865

John Wilkes Booth, confederate sympathizer, shot Lincoln in Ford Theatre at around 10:15pm, he died early the next morning.
