Aug 10, 1803 Houndreds of Aboriginals were killed in what some people think was a genocide. Aug 10, 1816 The Aboriginal resitances around Sydney were crushed by military sent by Governor Macquarie. By this time British settlements had already been founded beyond the Sydney area. Aug 10, 1820 There was a state of war in eastern Tasmania Aug 10, 1825 The settlements of Hobart Town and Port Dalrymple became a seperate colony Aug 10, 1828 Governor Arthur ordered Aboriginal people out of all settled districts Aug 10, 1830 More than 2000 soldiers were ordered to cature all Aboriginal people in the settlments Aug 10, 1832 There were just 203 survivors of Aboriginal people left in Tasmania. Mar 10, 1840 Survivors were moved to Flinders island where they were forced to wear modern clothes and learn the bible Aug 10, 1847 Most Aboriginals died of disease and dispair. 47 survivors were left and moved to Oyster Bay Aug 10, 1856 Van Diemen's land was renamed Tasmania, and there were fewer Aboriginals left Aug 10, 1869 Truganini was the only survivor at Oyster Bay Aug 10, 1876 Truganini died Aug 10, 1929 George Augustus Robinson working for the givernment travelled among Aboriginal survivors.
