    The first settlers arrived in Tasmania and created the settlement of Hobart town.

    Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania) became it's own colony in 1825.

    There were only 203 Aborignal Tasmanian's left.

  • Van Dieman's Land now Tasmania

    There were only 203 Aboriginal Tasmanian survivors in 1856 when Van Diemans Land was renamed Tasmania.

  • Aboriginal Tasmanian's Wiped Out

    By 1883 all of the Aboriginal Tasmanian's Were completely extinct.
