    In 1910 to 1970 over 50,000 Aboriginal and half caste children were forcefully taken from their family and put in a car to get put in a orphanage or a particularly different home like a boys home or a girls home. This is significant because the white people wanted the Aboriginal and Q people to change their culture and they did they changed their identity their names and their culture.

    On the 17 April 1933 AFL Footy player Neil(Nicky) Winmar stood up to a lot of people in Australia by lifting his shirt and showing his skin colour. His message was that he is “Black and Proud”.     From 1901 to 1962 indigenous people were fighting and fighting to get voting rights so they could give their thoughts on who they thought would be a great person to represent their country. Until in 1962 they finally got the right to vote and from then on the indigenous people were a bit more welcome to our land more looked up to by english people.
