    The underground railroad was used to help slaves escape from
    their masters. It was called underground railroad because the passage way was well hidden and it wasn't a railroad but it was the only sorce of transportation they had back then.

    In the Dred Scott case was about when Mississippi succeded to the South. Dred Scott was a free slave at the time but, he lived there and he was enslaved. He went to court and said," I used to live in a free state, so I should be free."

    The Gettysburg Adress was also an importent part of the abolitionist movement. It told us not to give up. To keep on trying, no matter what. I think that the speech was importent because it tell what the soilders died for, what there fighting for!
