In his teens he began to write software programs as a hobby. At the age of 12, Zuckerberg created a messaging programme named Zucknet that he implemented as an inter-office communication system for his father's dental practice. Due to his early signs of success, his parents got him a computer programming tutor while he was still in high school, and they enrolled him in a prep school in New Hampshire. -

After school he went to Harvard and he studied computer science and sociology at Harvard. While he was there he created a website called Facemash. This website allowed students to share photos. It was shut down by the university, but it inspired him to create Facebook. He launched this networking site from his room in 2004. -

He left Harvard and moved to California with Dustin Moskovitz. He had been his roommate in Harvard, and together they made Facebook an international success.This explosion of user growth attracted the attention of many firms, and Zuckerberg eventually moved out to Silicon Valley in 2005. Facebook received its first round of capital investments from Accel Partners, which invested $12.7 million in the site that was still only open to League students. -

By the end of 2005, Facebook had opened up to students attending other schools, causing the website to reach 5.5 million users. Since 2005, Facebook received numerous acquisition offers from Yahoo and Microsoft, has been through legal battles, and has greatly increased its user base. -
MARRIAGE
In 2012 Zuckerberg married Pricilla Chan, who is an American pediatrician and philanthropist.
He had dated Pricilla Chan for nine years. -

Zuckerberg and Chan have donated about $4.6 billion to charities, including a donation of $75 million to San Francisco General Hospital, where Chan worked. -
PATERNITY
Although Zuckerberg and Chan were happy together following their 2012 wedding, they were also eager to start a family of their own.
Their first child, Maxima Chan Zuckerberg, was born on December 1st, 2015.
In August 2017, Zuckerberg and Chan had a second baby, a daughter that they named August Zuckerberg.
