    The 9th and 10th Dynasties are known as the Heracleopolitan Dynasty, due to the city from which their kings ruled.This dynasty ruled in the south, and are knwon for being evil and ruling with an iron fist. Moses was born during this time.

    Achthoes

    Meryibre Khety I, or Achthoes, was a very evil pharaoh, caring nothing about his citizens and ruling with an iron fist. He set the stage for all the other Heracleopolitan pharaohs. He ruled from 1571 to about 1560 B.C.

    Moses Exiled

    Moses, after seeing how unkindly the Heracleopolitan pharaohs treated the Hebrews, killed an Egyptian official. He was then banished, and exiled to Midian in 1486 B.C.
