When I first found out about the project I thought it would be fun, thats until I found out we had to pick our categories randomly. When I picked my bag and saw that I had "Blue Moon" I was instantly dissapointed because I didnt know what I would do for this theme. After thinking about what I could do I looked at a few pictures on the internet, which gave me an idea of what I was going to do.

The making of my creatice hairstyle.

On the second day of my project I went to the computer lab to print out some pictures of things that would go well with my project so I could get more ideas of what I could do to be more creative.
After coming back from the computer lab I sat and thought about what I wanted to do for the face and sketched it out on the paper with the face. -
On Day 3 I was ready to get started on the face painting for my manikin until Mrs. Handy told us that we had to have 2-3 face painting practice sheets to choose from. I thought of another idea from the pictures I had printed out the day before.
-
On day 4 of my project I went around to my class mates and asked which practice sheet I should do because I thought both of them looked good. But by majority I chose the first sketch I did.
-
On day 5 I started the face paint on my manikin. It came out really good except for when the paint dried the lines weren't smooth looking. I waited for that paint to dry and went over the lines again with another brush. After I did that it came out really good.

I was finished with the face painting part of the project. It was now time for the hair styling part of the project to begin and I could not think of anything to do.
-
Since I couldn't figure out what to do with the hair on my manikin and it was already set with twists and nubian knots. I took it down to see if the outcome of taking it out would go right with my theme, but it didnt.
-
I still couldn't think of anything to do with my manikin's hair so I googled some images of exotic hair that I could possibly use. But still couldnt find anything I was really looking for.
-
I finally got an idea of what I wanted to do with the hair. I came up with the idea that since my topic was blue moon and moons are in the sky, I could give the hair a cloud look.
-
Since I decided to give the hair a cloud look, I rodded her hair with the brown and orange rods with moose. I sat my manikin under the dryer for about 30 min.. After about 2 min. one of the rods in the front fell out but I left it the way it was and continued to let the hair dry.

On day 11 I took the rods out of her hair and plucked them out to give the hair a big bushy look. I then thought of puttin a styrofoam half moon on the side of the hair. But I didnt know exactly how to do it.
-
I spray painted the hair silver, white, and blue to give it a realistic cloud look. After I did that I remembered that I had to incorporate the objects in my baggie in my project so I took the hot glue gun and glued my blue beeds on my blue fabric to make the word blue.
-
I cut out the correct shape of the moon using the airbrush stencile.
-
I glued the fabric around my styrofoam moon. I lifted the hair so it would look fuller in the front. I stuck the moon on the side of her hair as planned. Then I added my final touches of glitter in the hair, middle of the stars, around the cloud , and on the moon in the hair.
